Steve Swindell

Managing Director

Steve Swindell is a founding partner and Managing Director of Xodus Group. Steve entered the oil and gas industry in 1990 after graduating with a BSc in Chemical Engineering in South Africa in 1985. He went on to gain extensive sectoral knowledge and process engineering experience and is a highly respected field development specialist in the oil and gas industry today.

After a 15 year career with Genesis Oil & Gas Consultants, Steve moved on to start up Xodus Group and, with a focus on operations, Steve established a robust, flexible and highly successful operations and delivery model. Under Steve’s stewardship today Xodus offers world-class technical expertise across its international offices.

Simon Allison

Operations Director, APAC

Simon Allison is the APAC region director for Xodus. Simon is an experienced Process and Flow Assurance Engineer with more than 20 years in the oil and gas industry covering offshore and onshore oil and gas and LNG developments. He joined the Xodus Aberdeen office in 2011 before relocating to Perth, Australia in 2017.

Simon has a passion for continuously expanding his industry knowledge and developing people in a collaborative team environment. These endeavours have led him to travel, work and live around the world, including Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, UK, Ireland & Russia. He enjoys maintaining a broad range of experience across Business development and Bid preparation, Feasibility and Concept studies, FEED, Operational Support and Project Management.

Philip Cooper

Corporate Development Director

Philip joined Xodus in 2018, and supports the international growth of Xodus, as well as serving as technical authority for advanced pipeline engineering and deepwater subsea developments. Prior to joining Xodus, Philip managed the London office of Heerema Marine Contractors, and provided technical support to HMC’s portfolio of subsea field development projects in definition, tendering and execution phases.

His career includes design of complex subsea systems comprising pipelines, flowlines and associated structures, spools and hardware. Philip has contributed to technical advances in deepwater, pipe-in-pipe, arctic and seismic design. His experience includes all project phases across the major offshore oil and gas production regions. He has authored numerous technical papers, and participates in a number of industry technical committees. Before entering the subsea oil and gas sector, Philip provided structural engineering consultancy services to a wide range of landmark projects.

Philip graduated from Loughborough University, UK, and is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.

Sarah Duncan

Finance Director

Sarah Duncan has been Finance Director for Xodus Group since January 2019. She is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and has many years of experience in the Energy Industry.

Sarah started her career in 1997 with EY in Aberdeen with a wide range of clients from charities to upstream Oil and Gas majors. Sarah progressed to senior manager, specialising in the audit of upstream Oil and Gas companies. In 2009 she joined Subsea 7 where she held various finance positions within Subsea 7, initially leading the external reporting and technical accounting team followed by leading the teams responsible for reporting the Group budgets, forecasts and results both internally and to the Board of Directors.

Jonathan Fuller

Vice President, Advisory

Jon has more than 20 years international oil company and service company experience. He is responsible for Xodus’ Advisory offering and his clients include E&P organisations, governments, and Investment institutions (debt, equity, and high yield) in Energy, Infrastructure, and Services. The advice is technical and commercial, and global in nature – concerning M&A, Reserves Evaluation and Management (including CPR’s), Field Development, Disputes and Restructuring.

The Advisory team advises globally on between $6 and $12 billion worth of assets on a rolling 12 month basis. A Reservoir Engineer by background, Jon began his career in the North Sea with Elf, and then moved internationally with TOTAL. He then joined Schlumberger in a variety of commercial roles after an MBA from INSEAD. Additionally he has an Engineering Science degree from Oxford University, and a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt.

Tracey Hart

HR Director

Tracey is responsible for providing the strategic direction for Xodus’ people initiatives and leading the delivery of the HR services across all Xodus’ offices. Since joining Xodus in 2010, Tracey has successfully introduced an HR Partnering structure providing HR and Learning and Development expertise to support the company as it grows and diversifies.

Tracey entered the HR profession in 2005 after a career in operation management in the retail sector. Prior to joining Xodus, Tracey was an HR Business Partner at Compass Group Ltd where she was responsible for providing HR management to an operational team in the UK and international offshore and marine division.

She is a chartered member of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and has HR experience in several different industries, including retail, financial services, facility services, hospitality and offshore contracting and consulting.

Rebecca Hewlett

Operations Director, London & Middle East

Rebecca Hewlett is an Environmental Consultant with over 20 years of experience in energy and infrastructure consenting. As a specialist in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment she has worked on a wide range of scopes including; ExxonMobil’s PNG LNG project, Chevron’s Rosebank West of Shetland FPSO and pipeline development, Woodside’s deepwater SNE development in Senegal, EDP Renovais’ Moray East Offshore Wind Array and SSE’s Orkney and Shetland electricity interconnector projects.

She has been involved with a range of onshore projects including water and gas pipelines in Victoria Australia, and roads and bridges in Scotland. She has also been involved in the consenting of various wave and tidal devices in Australia and Scotland.

Peter Tipler

Renewables Director

Peter is responsible for the Renewables business at Xodus. With experience across advisory (lenders technical advisor and disputes), project development, operation and decommissioning projects, Peter brings a full lifecycle and multi-perspective angle to Xodus’ Renewables offering.

Peter joined Xodus at the start of 2009 as a graduate consultant in the environment division. Peter’s drive and commitment to forging successful relationships, delivering high quality advice and commercially savvy business, coupled with freedom allowed by Xodus, enabled Peter to move around the business. Peter led the Environmental Impact Assessment team and subsequently established the Decommissioning business capitalising on the opportunities offered by a low oil price environment.

Peter is proud to be leading the drive for Xodus to embrace the global energy transition by actively pursuing energy solutions which are technically, economically, ethically and environmentally sustainable.

Andrew Wylie

Operations Director, Scotland & Norway

Andrew joined Xodus Group at the start of 2010 and is responsible for the Scotland and Norway operation. Andrew is a Charted Mechanical Engineer and has many years of subsea project management experience for both FEED and EPIC scale projects across UK and Norwegian waters.

Andrew was previously the Scotland Subsea Manager for Xodus Group and has a comprehensive flexible pipe design, manufacture and installation knowledge as a result of various positions within installation contractors and other consultancies. His experience covers the complete project lifecycle from concept, FEED, detailed design, procurement, subsea construction through to commissioning.
