Andy Haines

Andy Haines
Senior Vibration Consultant

What does your role cover?
I get involved in a wide range of activities, including project delivery and management, proposal preparation, contract reviews, business development and technical development . However, I still enjoy getting my coveralls on and getting right in the thick of it. I am the focal point for a global operator’s workscopes so I am involved to varying degrees with work in the UK, Angola, Algeria, Oman, Indonesia and Trinidad and Tobago. This has enabled me to draw on different experiences and engage in best practices. I have also been exposed to interesting and challenging aspects of commissioning and start-ups.

Best Xodus moment?
One of the many highlights of my career at Xodus has been supporting an operator with a particular North Sea project. I have been heavily involved since 2014 and this included performing office based vibration screening assessments, baseline vibration risk assessments on the vessel tow and numerous visits to the FPSO to support start-up from first oil to achieving its nameplate capacity. I have developed great relationships with many of the team and being involved with the successful start-up programme was a huge source of satisfaction.

Greatest challenge?
Providing personnel and equipment for urgent and short notice jobs. My main driver is customer satisfaction and so I strive to exceed all my clients expectations.

Why Xodus?
Xodus has such a diversified range of experts that if you ever need guidance on anything you can be sure that there will be someone that can assist – and they will be happy to do so! Xodus also has a great, flexible working environment that enables you to take initiative, ownership and thrive.
