What Does your role cover?
I’m a consultant within the compliance team. My main responsibilities are permit preparation and quality assurance for a range of Xodus’ clients. I am the PM for two operator clients where I manage permits for production, drilling, subsea, well intervention, surveys, decommissioning etc. I am also line manager to two graduates within the compliance team and I manage its resourcing. I have eight years’ industry experience and, prior to joining Xodus, I have worked in operator, consultancy and regulator roles. This is a great benefit as it gives me a well-rounded knowledge of permit requirements. Along with oil and gas projects, I also have experience in windfarm and carbon capture and storage environmental impact assessments.

Best Xodus Moment?
For me it was being promoted to a Lead Consultant within my first year of being with the company. It’s great to be in such a supportive team who appreciate the hard work you put in.  

Greatest Challenge?
Working in the compliance team means we have a lot of very tight deadlines and a number of projects on the go at the same time. We need to ensure the workload is balanced across the team and that we can meet our clients’ needs. I manage team resourcing so ensuring all work can be completed within the short time frames can by challenging.  

Why Xodus?
As an ex-operator, I have worked with a number of different consultancies over the years and I do genuinely believe Xodus is the best. The organisation and management processes and procedures in place ensure we deliver high quality work to strict deadlines with minimal regulator comments. From a personal point of view, the people in Xodus are great, everyone is very sociable and friendly – making it a fun place to work. The team also looks after one another, making sure we help each other out during busy periods and checking no one is feeling under too much pressure.
