Graduate Environmental Consultant
What Does your role cover?
I support the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team as well as Peter Tipler, our renewable director, in his efforts to grow the renewables business for Xodus.
Why the energy sector?
Working in the ever-evolving energy industry interested me at university and it has always fascinated me where future developments will go. I joined Xodus to learn and contribute to these developments in renewables as well as the oil and gas industry.
What attracted you to apply for a graduate position within Xodus?
I heard about Xodus while I was still in university and working at Xodus seemed like the perfect opportunity. Xodus offers a wide array of expertise, technical knowledge and the opportunity to work and learn from the best people in the business. In addition, it allows an opportunity to work on projects around the world.
What do you enjoy about working at Xodus?
The colleagues and the variety of projects I’ve already been involved in. Xodus seems like a very dynamic environment in which there is the opportunity to learn – from both successes and mistakes – and where there is room to grow.
What's been your greatest challenge?
One of the greatest challenges has been finishing up my masters' thesis and my university courses while simultaneously starting to move out of the Netherlands. Luckily, I could manage it all in time to make a fresh start at Xodus.
What are you looking forward to in the next 5 years?
I am looking forward to getting more involved in the renewables sector and build up responsibility. I hope to increase my knowledge on how to create and further develop business for Xodus.
