X0 - Senior Consultant
Performing highly-complex, functional tasks within a specific discipline, Senior Consultants carry technical authority in their discipline within Xodus. They act as a principal interface with Clients demonstrating the technical capability of the Xodus Group, responsible for delivering assignments to meet the client satisfaction and our own commercial targets.

Providing direction and technical leadership, Senior Consultants supervise and assist in the development of the Xodus team.  They also have a major role to play in developing business based on their technical reputation as well as the preparation of proposals, either individually or as part of a proposals team.

All work performed within Xodus is covered by our Quality and HSE systems and the Senior Consultant acts as a role model in using these processes to optimize the ‘'product' for our Clients. 

Having flexibility to adapt to varying assignments, often undertaking multiple assignments at one time, Senior Consultants must exhibit team behaviours and be comfortable in communicating with subordinates, superiors and clients.

X1 - Lead Engineer / Consultant
Lead Engineer/Consultants are capable of undertaking important projects or complex assignments involving problem diagnosis or the development of innovative technical solutions.  They will also have a ‘'specialist' discipline and hence are called upon to lead highly-complex, functional tasks within that discipline.  Lead Engineers and Consultants perform a key client-facing role and are pivotal in ensuring the Client's needs are fully satisfied, often leading or assisting in the leadership of major studies and projects.

In their technical leadership role, the Lead Engineer/Consultant ensures the team delivers the study assignment to the highest technical standard, consistent with the Xodus Group and Client HSE and Quality objectives.

Being at the front of the Group's technical offering, these individuals have an important marketing and business development role and are responsible for facilitating opportunities to secure business for the Group.

X2 - Principal Engineer
Principal Engineers are capable of undertaking important projects or complex assignments involving problem diagnosis or the development of innovative technical solutions. They may also perform highly-complex, functional tasks within a specific discipline. As a senior member of the team, they are often given the responsibility of assisting the Project or Study leader to deliver the assignment within designated commercial targets.

Principal Engineers have a major role in providing technical input to a Project or Study, at all times ensuring the Client's needs are being met on a technical level. This necessarily involves a high degree of client interfacing.

There is also a business development aspect of this role, with contributions expected in identifying and securing business for the Group and the preparation and input to the preparation of proposals. 

The Principal Engineers will have the flexibility to work on varying assignments within their discipline areas and this will inevitably involve performing multiple projects at one time. This will usually be part of a larger team and good team behaviours are vital.

X3 - Senior Engineer
Senior Engineers have a demonstrable ability to provide top class engineering deliverables, as directed by the Project or Study lead, without constant supervision. They carry responsibility for delivering defined tasks, often involving the supervision of less experienced engineers and CAD operators. On a day-to-day basis Senior Engineers provide guidance and technical leadership to less experienced staff and must therefore demonstrate good team and motivational behaviours.  

The Senior Engineer has the ability to communicate clearly with subordinates, superiors and clients with a comprehensive understanding of the importance of the client relationship. They also play a role in supporting business development activities and as part of a team preparing proposals.

X4 - Graduate / Engineer
Engineers have a demonstrable ability to perform complex functional tasks under supervision. Awareness of the commercial targets associated with tasks and delivering within them is required to fully understand their role in the delivery cycle.

Engineers must be keen to broaden their experience and capabilities and should be enthusiastic learners, taking advantage of the opportunities made available to them from formal and on-the-job training. A key aspect of this role is the ability to show initiative but at the same time know when to ask questions hence good communication skills are required. As with all roles within Xodus, Engineers must perform their work within the Group HSE and quality systems.
