Permits and Consents – UK Aquaculture Industry
Xodus AURORA provides a range of modelling and permit application support to the aquaculture industry in the UK in order to support applications for discharge under the Water Environment (Controlled Activities) Regulations 2005 (CAR). Support includes baseline and hydrographic surveys (see Survey Planning and Management), hydrographic data analysis and reporting and modelling of biomass and chemical releases using Depomod and AutoDepomod software. Exploratory modelling can also be undertaken to give clients best guidance on location and cage design in order to reduce environmental impact of their operations.

Xodus AURORA is registered with SEPA as an approved contractor for the purpose of modelling chemical treatment applications. Investment has also been made in in-house tools and spreadsheets to facilitate auditable and timely applications.
