Permits and Consents – UK Oil and Gas Industry
Xodus AURORA’s Consents and Permit team manage
applications for all environmental related permits,
including:
Permit Management Systems
Xodus AURORA has developed a number of software tools in order to improve efficiency in permit preparation and compliance tracking (see PonTRAX)
for offshore chemical permits. Xodus AURORA is also
in the process of designing tools that can provide
complete compliance management for offshore operators
including centralised permit management and automatic
emission monitoring and tracking.
OPPC
The Offshore Petroleum Activities (Oil Pollution Prevention and Control) Regulations 2005 are designed to encourage operators to continue to reduce the quantities of hydrocarbons discharged during the course of offshore operations. The regulations introduce a permitting system for oil discharges and a Dispersed Oil in Produced Water Trading Scheme.
OCR
Under the Offshore Chemical Regulations 2002, operators
have to obtain permits for the use of chemicals offshore.
| Xodus AURORA can support clients in: |
| › |
Production of permit applications, reviews and variations |
| › |
Chemical risk assessment, including in-house CHARM modelling and other emissions modelling software |
| › |
Production of substitution plans |
| › |
Development of chemical management procedures. |
PPC
Under the Offshore Combustion Installations (Prevention
and Control of Pollution) Regulations 2001, permits
are required for the operation of certain offshore
combustion installations. Working alongside our engineers
we can undertake all the required supporting studies
for PPC applications; energy efficiency studies,
BAT assessment and emissions modelling.
