Block 22 is an offshore development located off the northern coast of Tobago in 340-1,120m water depth.

The block is located approximately 3.5km north of the last island of the northern coast of Tobago at its closest point. The development comprises a total of 16 wells. The field development study aimed to develop Block 22 as a subsea tie-back to an onshore plant at Cove Point, Tobago.

Main gas export pipeline has been defined as 24” NB. The pipeline route has been optimised. Six slot manifolds were identified and connected to the main export line via an end PLET and in line tees. The onshore approach has been revised to accommodate the new locations of offshore loading buoys.

The flow assurance study concluded that there is no need to include methanol for start-up and hydrate management. MEG would suffice for most applications including valve barrier testing and use downhole.

The control system schematics, umbilical schematics and subsea system P&IDs have been developed. The metering study indicated that the best economic solution which provides all the well management and allocation metering needs is to provide downhole venturis for each well and a more accurate retrievable unit at each manifold for cross calibration.
