A marginal project that required delivery on an aggressive schedule.
The Greater East Spar project for Apache was a single well tie-back into the existing Halyard infrastructure comprising a Pipeline End Manifold , a Subsea Cooling Skid, an infield flowline and umbilical, a tie-in spool and flying leads using diverless technology.
Personnel were provided to Apache amounting to half of the subsea equipment delivery team for the duration of the project. The multidisciplined team covered subsea structures, controls equipment, flowlines, process and production assurance. The scope of the project ranged from the production of ITT documents through to fabrication project close-out including tender evaluation, clarification close-out, package management inclusive of engineering and fabrication.
The multidisciplined integrated capability came to the fore when the project was at a significant level of maturity. Apache’s production profiles were revised and it was concluded that subsea cooling was required. The team arrived at the optimal solution achievable in the timescale available.
