Often developments have good front-end work performed that is eroded by either loss of original functional intent, changes, loss of value opportunity realisation or by poor execution logistics as the project goes from the development phase into execution. This is recognised within the industry as a traditional value leakage path. Today, project teams are faced with ever decreasing implementation schedules, constrained resources and suppliers with an ageing work force and use of low cost engineering centres.

Xodus personnel can work with project teams to identify risks throughout the execution phase whether it is maximising value opportunities, ensuring design intent, proving design assurance, reviewing procurement practices and QA through to pre-commissioning planning and preparation. We understand what it takes to bring a project together and more importantly what happens if one piece of the jigsaw doesn’t quite fit!

Xodus uses facilitated risk assessment techniques to ensure buy-in form all project stakeholders and benchmarking tools such as PDRI and other in house methods that reliably identify key strengths and weaknesses. Our extensive benchmarking database and execution norms often provides valuable insights into positions compared to normal expectation and bands of variance.

Given our front-end experience, Xodus can rapidly screen fundamental changes to functional process design in order to understand impacts of change. Our advanced change management system enables projects to fully understand the full impact of change more quickly than with traditional processes so that decisions are made on a fully informed basis.

Our front-end and brownfield optimisation background enables us to work with standard designs to debottleneck and optimise only where strictly necessary. This radical approach has brought significant benefits in terms of cost and schedule outcomes to projects.

The service we provide is intended to be a limited high value role where experience, independence, and benchmarking systems and trends regularly provides significant value whether in terms of cost savings, schedule enhancement or performance improvement. Through our range of niche consulting services we are also able to support project teams in management, design, construction, QA or commissioning roles.

Xodus personnel have direct experience in project assurance roles working directly for operators on large scale gas infrastructure projects as well as working for financial institutions providing structured debt facilities to operators on marginal oil developments.
