Xodus Takes on its Biggest Challenge to Date
If there is one thing that those within Xodus thrive on, it’s a challenge!
In this instance though we’re not talking a technical challenge, a test of engineering excellence or a field development solution – we’re referring to a test of teamwork, ingenuity, skill and commitment.
For the first time ever, Xodus is taking part in the annual BG Energy Challenge. A three day event set to take place in Bangor, Wales between 9-11 July this year, Xodus has entered a team that comprises a mix of the ‘super-fit’ with the ‘unwitting’.
Vanessa Clark, Chris Cooper, Ross Cormack, Greg Edgar, Kayleigh Hughes and Jason Potter have all signed up to the mighty challenge – which has previously involved mountain biking, canoeing, puzzle solving, code cracking, mountain climbing and orientation.
The team has already solved the first clue, giving them the location of a stage of the challenge. Somewhat unsurprisingly the cycling stage is going to take place in the shadow of Mount Snowdon, so cycling up and down hills has now become part of the training requirement. This is easy enough in Aberdeen, but not so easy for the Londoners in the team!
Jason Potter is way ahead of the training schedule having recently completed the London Marathon and Chris Cooper has previously competed in BG Energy Challenges, so knows what to expect. For the rest of the rookie team, good luck!
