Often developments have good front-end work performed that is eroded by either loss of original functional intent, changes, loss of value opportunity realisation or by poor execution logistics as the project goes from the development phase into execution. This is recognised within the industry as a traditional value leakage path. Today, project teams are faced with ever decreasing implementation schedules, constrained resources and suppliers with an ageing workforce and use of low cost engineering centres.
