Dynamic Simulation
Dynamic simulation is an established step in the engineering processes to design, operate, upgrade and debottleneck plant equipment. One of the main aims of Integrated Technology is to be at the forefront of dynamic simulation technology, enabling the most complex dynamic problems to be tackled with ease. To this end, in addition to standard model development and case studies, Xodus hold expertise in the advanced use of HYSYS®, including the development of custom interfaces and objects and have presented several papers on this capability.
Dynamic simulation is particularly applicable when considering fast, complex fluid phenomena, such as flow line slugging or compressor surge, where traditional spreadsheet iterative analysis cannot integrate the problem with sufficient resolution. A real strength of our capability is that all Xodus personnel engaged on dynamic simulation projects have both design and operations support experience and are using the simulation as a tool to reach a ‘real-world’ engineering solution to improve your business.
Whether linking HYSYS® to a transient pipeline simulator, such as OLGA®, to evaluate slug mitigation techniques, or modelling custom compressor control algorithms, such as CCC, to develop a compression antisurge and loadsharing strategy, Xodus have the tools and experience to solve any problem.
