Integrated Production Modelling
Integrated Production Modelling (IPM) spans many disciplines, integrating information from the reservoir, subsea, pipelines, flow assurance, facilities and process engineering as well as costs, schedule, cash flow and economics.
IPM is a time and cost effective technique for assessing and optimising field concepts whether it is in the well count, the phasing of wells, the subsea configuration, process configuration, timing of compression and expert line sizing. The preferred software utilised by Xodus seamlessly integrates the system flow assurance with the subsurface deliverability and the envisaged topsides constraints for all considered development options.
Once developed, the IPM model can be used as a fundamental change management tool during the execution phase of a development project to understand the entire impact of change, for example from a reservoir or process performance perspective.
On completion of the execution phase, Xodus can also support companies to evaluate the operational activity by employing its real time modelling within the IPM model to compare actual and theoretical system performance and in turn optimise hydrocarbon delivery. The key to successful asset development is in the integration of various disciplines – particularly subsurface and surface activity – an area that is at the heart of the Xodus delivery model.
