Software Engineering
At Xodus we have a pool of capable and motivated software engineers with a wide range of energy industry experience. By combining the skills of our software engineers with consultant engineers in our other divisions, we have developed numerous bespoke software applications. We use our own software tools internally to streamline our business processes, and have developed several products for our clients, utilising web client/server techniques to produce fast, secure and scalable solutions. We can also place software engineering personnel with a specific skill set within client organisations to fill either short-term or longer-term positions. The required skill set could be a particular programming language, database administration experience, or data historian knowledge.
Bespoke Software
Bespoke (or custom) software is an application that has been tailored to suit clients’ exact requirements as an alternative to an ‘off the shelf’ package. Using a bespoke solution ensures that the software application fits your business exactly, rather than your business having to fit around the software package you have chosen. Xodus will work with you to establish the requirements for your application to ensure that we develop the right software solution for you. This includes the refinement of an existing tool (for example a client-developed spreadsheet) into a robust application, as well as starting with a blank canvas and a great idea.
