Project Delivery & Systems Engineering
The Xodus business model is built on the integrated delivery of key disciplines which allow us to add value at all project delivery stages and for all parts of the production system. The Xodus Subsea Division recognises that such an approach is vital in delivering an optimised subsea system.
It is well understood that the greatest influence on a project’s outcome is made at the conceptual and pre-FEED stages. Xodus consistently seeks to provide the integrated application of key skills to enable the evolution of the complete subsea system to begin at these early project stages. This involves providing expertise to define all aspects of the system:
› Field architecture
› Subsea structures
› Flowlines and tie-ins
› Control system functionality
› Chemical injection requirements
› Material selection.
In today’s subsea industry, early definition of all these system components and their interfaces, i.e. systems engineering, has a positive effect in terms of technical definition and ultimate cost and schedule. Long lead times, coupled with increasingly fast-track programs, means that early application of strong technical and integrated skills throughout the subsea system is vital to successful project delivery.
Although the Xodus Group skill-set is particularly suited to the early definition phases of a project or development, our engineers and consultants are experienced at all stages of the project delivery cycle. This understanding of how projects are ultimately delivered enables us to provide input to the key early decisions with the confidence that we are aligned with our clients on the end result.
Across the project delivery cycle, Xodus provides the integrated systems engineering skills which ensures the crucial interfaces are optimised.
