Pre-start-up, detailed flow assurance analysis is increasingly performed to gain confidence in the operability of the system for operations such as commissioning, start-up, system pressurisation, chemical injection requirements and detailed blowdown.

Xodus also performs flow assurance analysis on operating systems to look at issues such as sand laydown, scaling potential, wax deposition as well as system benchmarking.

This analysis can lead to the realization that an on-line monitoring system can offer significant operability benefits for clients. In such cases, Xodus offer a solution to on-line, real time monitoring of subsea systems based on either steady state or transient simulation technology. This solution is called XPLORE.
