Transient Analysis
Following the early steady state work to identify the
optimum design of a subsea system, it is common to
complete transient analysis on the selected system
to identify the system operability with regard to:
› Slugging Potential
› Turndown / Ramp-up studies
› Liquids Management
› System Start-up and Re-Start
› Pipeline Shutdown and Cooldown
› System Blowdown
› Transient Hydrate Management
› Chemical Requirements
› System Safeguarding Requirements.
Xodus has a team of engineers capable of completing
the above analysis for the most challenging subsea
developments
planned today.
All of the areas outlined above have key interfaces
with the host facility or terminal. Xodus engineers
are trained
to have a good understanding of the impact of transient
analysis on the topsides infrastructure and recognize
the limits that may have to be imposed on the analysis
by existing platform or terminal equipment. Good
liaison with the client is encouraged to ensure
that interface
issues are dealt with promptly to the satisfaction
of all parties.
