Framework – Functionality
The XPLORE Framework supports the following standard
functionality:

Trending
The Trending pop-up window allows a user to trend multiple tags on a single
trend, displaying either real-time or historical values. The trend is fully
user configurable and all settings are stored on a user basis for future
use. The user can store multiple configuration sets which allow the user
to store tag lists that can be recalled in future, and multiple trend windows
can be opened with different configuration sets.
The Trend allows the user to navigate through the
data i.e. zoom in; zoom out, page forward & page
back. The user is able to add a “hairline” on
the trend by clicking on a trend line. The value at
the hairline and the description for all tags are displayed
in a legend at the bottom of the trend.

Limits
H, HH, L and LL limits can be configured for all tags in the system. When
the XPLORE system detects that a tag has breached a configured limit, an
Event message is generated. Indication of this condition being met is also
conveyed to the user by means of colour-coding (amber for H/L limits, and
red for HH/LL limits) of the following items:
› Individual
tag data values.
› The
status indicators on tabs, indicating the aggregate
status of all tags contained in that tab.

Logic
The XPLORE system supports the evaluation of logic expressions to generate
Event messages. These logic items are built as a combination of tag limits,
and support the AND, OR and NOT logical expressions.
There are two views when configuring logic: Simple
(a maximum of two inputs, and one logic expression)
and Advanced. Simple logic can be read left to right,
whereas advanced logic consists of a number of inputs
and logic expressions.

Tag
Detail Window
This pop-up window offers the user a simple trend, access to the tag limit
settings and access to the data filtering settings.

Tag Summary
This window consists of a list of all tags in the system along with their current
value, timestamp and tag type. The user is able to filter these by Process
Unit and Tag Type.

Event Messages
At the foot of all pages, there is an area displaying the most recent Event
messages generated by the XPLORE system, showing the timestamp when the message
was raised, and a summary of the message. For the currently selected message,
the detail of the message can be seen to the right. The user can navigate to
an Event Summary window which displays all messages.
