A New Year and Several New Milestones for Xodus
The newly refurbished HQ is a great place to start. Expanding in Aberdeen’s West End in the current climate is not easy and we were very fortunate to be able to secure the building next door. After a few fraught months of juggling desks and watching a team of builders knock both buildings into a single working office, we have finally created a first class, and spacious working environment that will provide a fantastic base for the next phase of the Xodus Group growth.
Another major milestone for Xodus was achieved in the latter part of 2007 with the launch of the new London office. Ideally located near St Paul’s in the capital, it will provide us with a platform to drive new and international business to our hubs in Aberdeen and Perth. Richard Heard is spearheading the growth of this office.
The new Environment Division continues to expand with new faces in Aberdeen, Perth and Orkney. Being able to recruit senior people such as Francis Baronie to lead the Environment Division in Perth and Max Goodwin to head up Aberdeen is a fantastic reflection of how committed Xodus is to creating and growing a world class environmental capability.
In Perth we have already had to move into a new office. Even by Xodus standards the growth in Perth has been phenomenal. The additional office sees us double in size in Perth, again setting us up for continued expansion through the New Year.
As Xodus moves into its third year in business, we are entering a new phase in our growth. In our first two, we have achieved almost unprecedented growth in the consultancy market. At the same time we have continued to win and work on some of the most interesting projects around, we have developed a fantastic team, launched new Divisions and offices and created an infrastructure that will facilitate the next phase of our growth.
Year three will be challenging; continued growth in Aberdeen and Perth, expansion in London, further development of the Technical Safety and Risk capability and a massive push on our XPLORE and PonTRAX products are just some of the plans ahead. For Xodus, these challenges ahead of us will be met with a strong New Year resolution to retain our enthusiasm, creativity and drive in both work and play.
In this spirit, we are delighted to welcome Scotland rugby captain Jason White who has teamed up with Xodus in an exciting win-win partnership.
The high profile player, recognised as one of the big-hitters in the game around the world, will be closely aligned with the company throughout the year – meeting clients and staff and imparting motivation and team-building tips in an association we hope will be of benefit to both parties.
So here’s to a prosperous 2008 for all at Xodus and our clients and suppliers alike.
