  Karl Heiden, Principal Engineer,
Environment Division.

Xodus Group has welcomed a former Australian Government environment and resources advisor to the Environment Division, further boosting the capabilities of our Perth office.

Karl Heiden comes to Xodus with over 15 years’ experience in managing environmental and resources issues, having worked closely with Federal ministers on high-level policy and management projects.

Karl brings industry leading advisory expertise to Xodus, having managed a large range of major oil and gas development approvals on behalf of the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage
and Arts.

As an environmental approvals specialist at Xodus, Karl’s in-depth understanding of the workings of government, specifically the environmental assessment and approvals processes, gives the company’s Environment Division a strength that is unmatched across the oil and gas consultancy field.

Executive Director Matthew Rawlings said Karl’s appointment was a boon in terms of growing the consultancy and being able to offer clients a unique, strategic service that is unparalleled in the industry.

“The combination of Karl’s government expertise with the high level of technical ability provided by other experienced members of our Environment Division enables us to provide a unique and valuable service to clients,” Matthew said.

“Karl is currently involved in strategic planning for the assessment and approval of a major hydrocarbon development.

“His advice will help steer the project through the complex multi-option and jurisdictional issues present, adding great value to the project by reducing business risk and minimising timeframes for the project,” he said.
