Xodus Group spiced up their May communications session in Perth, mixing business with pleasure as operational updates were discussed over steaming plates of Indian-themed cuisine.

Communications sessions bring everyone together on the first Wednesday of each month and the newly-formed social club recognised this as a great opportunity for a monthly social event.

While the many curries simmered in the background, the discussions of company financials and operational updates from our various Divisions took place – a little faster than usual.

To further spice up the night, the social club organised awards for the best and the hottest curry. Voting was very close, with the judges struggling to make a decision due to the high standard of all the dishes.

With a ‘stonkingly’ good Lamb Madras, Senior Process Engineer Angus Robertson took home the ‘Curry Cup’, and Senior Pipelines Engineer Margo St Quintin received the ‘Hottie Challenge’ award for her powerful Vindaloo.

One of the men behind the success of the curry night, consultant engineer Nigel Underwood said the range of flavours, attention to detail and the way everyone pitched in was excellent.

“We had also organised a ‘Habanero Challenge’ for the night, but only three people were brave enough to take part – well done to those gutsy, fierce-mouthed individuals,” Nigel said.
