Austen (formerly Jacqui) is situated in UKCS block 30/13b in the Central North Sea in a water depth of approximately 70 m. Austen contains a waxy gas-condensate discovery and two oil discoveries, all high pressure-high temperature plus two undrilled compartments.
Xodus Group were engaged by Neptune to examine all potential development options for Austen, including potential co-developments with other local fields.
Xodus Group’s scope included:
+ Evaluate all design concepts available for producing a high pressure / high temperature gas-condensate discovery.
+ Evaluate potential of co-developments with other fields within the local area.
+ Concepts examined included new fixed structures, floating structures and subsea developments back to existing infrastructure within an 80km radius.
+ Examine the high level requirements for reception facilities on all existing infrastructure within an 80km radius.
+ Examine the detailed requirements for a range of reception facilities (from minimum impact facilities through to new reception separators and heaters).
+ Integrate with Neptune’s subsurface and economics teams to efficiently realise the true value of the options examined.
