Xodus acted as Lead Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Consultant for the Offshore EIA Report for a floating offshore wind farm, delivering all associated documentation required to support Section 36 consent and Marine Licence applications. Our scope included preparation of a Marine Protected Area (MPA) assessment; upfront and marine mammal chapters of the Report to Inform Appropriate Assessment (RIAA); Outline Management Plans; electromagnetic field (EMF) modelling and reporting; a Statement of Combined Effects (SOCE); and specialist consenting support. Xodus also led Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) activities, including the public event and PAC Report, and provided ongoing stakeholder engagement support.
Xodus managed and coordinated the full Offshore EIA Report, including technical appendices such as cumulative effects and marine mammal cumulative effects assessments, alongside key elements of the Habitats Regulations Appraisal. We developed and authored the SOCE and delivered a comprehensive suite of supporting application documentation, including the Non-Technical Summary, MPA assessment, RIAA inputs, marine licence applications, and a Gap Analysis of the Scoping Opinion. Our team developed and delivered Outline Management Plans, undertook EMF modelling, and facilitated critical project workshops, including Project Design Envelope, topic-specific, consenting strategy, and EIA review sessions. We led the PAC event and reporting, provided consenting strategy advice, and continue to support the project through post-submission and determination stages.
Xodus remains engaged in post-submission support, providing regulatory insight, stakeholder liaison, and responsive technical advice to support determination. Our ongoing involvement ensures continuity, clarity of environmental case, and effective management of emerging issues as the project progresses through the consenting process.
