By providing information on how to appropriately monitor the commercial fishing industry by offshore wind developers (and wider marine users), the document aims to support two of the ScotMER evidence gaps:

1) Fish and Fisheries Receptor Group: “monitoring of commercial fishing activity in the vicinity of offshore windfarms and cables”

2) Socio-Economic Receptor Group: “how can we improve the monitoring and evaluation (comparing predicted against monitored impacts) of socio-economic impacts?”
